Dear Soddy Daisy Smiles friends,
Earlier this week, we communicated our desire to continue to treat patients utilizing infection control measures to limit the risk of spreading COVID-19. Much has changed in the last 24 hours that has caused me to change this decision. Last evening, the American Dental Association announced their recommendation that all dentists postpone elective procedures for the next three weeks. An elective procedure that is advantageous to the patient but is not urgent. Most dental procedures fit this definition.
For that reason, we will be reaching out to all patients with an appointment scheduled in the coming weeks. We will do our best to reschedule your visit for as soon after this window as possible.
Emergency dental care will continue to be provided. These types of emergencies would include infections, facial swellings, abscessed teeth, and advanced dental pain. If you feel you have an emergency dental condition, we will do our best to see you and alleviate your dental condition.
We are very sorry for this inconvenience. We want to do the right thing to keep our patients and our team healthy and safe, based on the latest information available. We would be happy to answer any of your questions, so don’t hesitate to contact our office.
